I recently finished a fairly new book called Fitness Confidential. It is co-written by a man who is known as “America’s Angriest Trainer”, Vinnie Tortorich. I first heard about Vinnie on one of my favorite podcasts, Endurance Planet. In the book, Vinnie talks directly and bluntly about his life, his experience over the course of his 30 years in the fitness industry, and nutrition. He discusses gyms, trainers, fitness equipment, miracle pills, and reality TV shows about rapid weight loss.  He talks about health and wellness in a way that I have never read before. He covers in detail, with real world examples, a simple way for people to fuel themselves in a much more healthy way. Quite simply, it is by removing sugar and grains from the diet. As I said, the notion is simple but it is difficult for many people. I think that would include me. I am going to think about the many great ideas that I took from this book and incorporate them into my lifestyle moving forward. I would recommend this book to everyone. It’s a quick and easy read and packed with great information.
