Third 24-Day Challenge…

I am starting my third AdvoCare 24-Day Challenge tomorrow and the great thing is that I get to do so with a couple of friends of mine. To get myself prepped and give them something to go off of, I pulled out the 24-Day Food reference that I’ve used for the challenge in that past and I spent this morning working up my grocery list for the first phase, the 10-Day Cleanse. Here is what I’ll be picking up today from the store:


  • Chicken Breast (Boneless, Skinless)
  • Ground Turkey (As lean as possible)
  • Tuna Steaks
  • Mahi Mahi
  • Tuna Pouches (or canned in spring water)

Fruits (Nothing in Cans!)

  • Blackberries
  • Strawberries
  • Honeycrisp Apples (Any apples will work, I just like these)
  • Purple Grapes (Seedless, Any grapes will work, I just like these)
  • Navel Oranges (Any oranges work, I just like these)
  • Bananas
  • Lemons
  • Limes

Veggies/Herbs (Frozen is OK!, Stay away from canned)

  • Avacados
  • Jalepenos
  • Tomatos
  • Purple Onion (Small)
  • Broccoli
  • Asparagus
  • Lettuce
  • Salad Greens
  • Spinach
  • Edamame
  • Carrots
  • Cilantro
  • Rosemary
  • Thyme

Starches – I avoid these as much as possible during the first phase.

  • Steel Cut Oatmeal (No sugar added, nothing flavored in a box. Just plain oats)
  • Whole Grain Sandwich Thins (I love these for turkey burgers!)

Condiments and Other Stuff

  • WATER, WATER, WATER!!! A bunch of bottled water!
  • Olive Oil (I use no more than 1 tablespoon at a time)
  • Olive Oil Low-Fat Mayo (I use a little of this with Tabasco in the tuna and on my turkey burgers)
  • Tabasco Sauce
  • Splenda, or whatever sweetener you prefer. NO SUGAR! (I use this anywhere I need a sweetener, but I don’t use a lot of it.)
  • 100% Cranberry Juice
  • Spicy Mustard
  • Dill Pickles
  • Cinnamon
  • Zero Calorie Cooking Spray

I pretty much stick to these things throughout the 24-Day Challenge. I’ll be working up a couple of recipes for things like my Turkey Burgers, for example and I’ll post them in the next few days.
